is the newest member of the Blog of the Week club! Besides being absolutely gorgeous, she isn't afraid to post about her good days AND bad, her successes AND trials.

She just puts it all out there is a way I wish I could. I am so impressed that she even ran the Dublin marathon on a SPRAINED ANKLE! That's something I totally would do, if I had put all that time into training.

She is a fitness instructor and a busy mom. And she does give in to the Call of the Crave Cupcake! How could I NOT love her!

Getting Lucky!!

What is YOUR hubby getting for Christmas? Besides the Lego set my hubby already knows about, I need ideas. Put it out there for me!

I can NOT be the only one who has a hard time buying presents for the man who says, and I Quote, "Anything you get me is fine" AARRRGH!

Favorite Holiday Traditions

We got to talking at work about various Christmas Traditions. Our family has a few, ones that I hope never stop.

1) The Famous Bourne Christmas Party
2) Watching Muppets Christmas Carol with Popcorn
3) Moms cookies, nuff said

Another one I always loved was getting the "Christmas Letter" from family. You know the one, outlining how to year went, whats upcoming with everyone in the family, always accompanied by a family picture.

I know my mom has done them, and I always scour her house every Christmas looking for the new ones that might have come.

With our little family of two though, I have always wanted to send one, but there really isn't much to say beyond, Hi, We are fine, still in apartment, still working, no babies:( Whats the point right?

But I don't want this tradition to die! I know with computers and email and blogs, more and more people are putting their letters online and calling it a day. NOOOOO!
Keep them coming! There is something about pulling that card and letter out and devouring it a few times every Christmas.

As Tevye would say "Its TRADITION!!"

My Moms Famous Russian Tea

Its not quite Wassail for you Cassie, but we always loved this hot drink in winter. Its nice to have an alternative to hot chocolate sometimes.

2 parts orange drink powder
1 part lemon drink powder
Cinnamon or cinnamon sticks

Mix 2 drink powders together to create drink mix. We usually mix a big batch, then store it in a airtight plastic container.

Add to hot water and stir. After drink mix is dissolved, add either ground cinnamon or stir with a cinnamon stick. We find it does not mix that well if you add the cinnamon before drink is fully mixed. I personally do not like cinnamon so this works out well for me. You can also float a lemon slice in it if you like.

This smells so good!!

Anniversary time!!

We are about to head off to Banff again this weekend for our anniversary, so I will have to get some auto posts going for while we are gone.

Any ideas for topics to post about?? Im over halfway through the month!
